As a PR professional, I write constantly. Press releases, articles for publications, speaking points quotes, etc. And now, I’m beginning to blog for my clients as well. Do I think it is right, yes and no.
Yes because my clients are too busy to dedicate the amount of time needed to successfully run a social media campaign or a blog. The key to these endeavors is consistency. Regular blogs are a must. If I left my clients on their own, the point of the social media efforts would be lost in a pile of work.
No because the whole pont of soical media is a personal connection. People want to believe that they’re hearing directly from the hourse’s mouth. I take some consilation in the fact that my clients approve everything before it is posted, but still, it just isn’t the same. People are getting my voice, my style of writing.
So what’s the answer? Thoughts?
